Kenny has recruited well, but a fair number of recent recruits are no


longer on the team, whether due to bad talent evaluations, injuries, covid issues, or other issues. He’s got a good core group but when one of the good core group goes down, there’s a significant drop off sometimes.

He’s gotten Shawn Poppie more involved in the coaching decisions, which is good, and it may have helped us win last night. Pitt played a lot of players last night which forced a lot of stress on us. For some reason we just don’t have the player depth to wholesale substitute like that. Now Pitt was getting their butts whipped and didn’t really have anything to lose, but it was effective at getting the score close until their fouling us came back to haunt them.
